Maths

WALT: Describe the features of a net.

On Friday the 17 room 9 constructed nets for glue sticks  (my glue stick was small).

A maths net is a 2D shape that gets cut out and stuck together and makes a 3D shape.

This is my net. It will transform from a rectangle into a cuboid.
Here is my cuboid.
My glue stick fit perfectly !
My next step is adding colour

Report writing workshop

WALT: write a factual report about the weather in autumn.
WILF:
- a general introduction that introduces the topic
- ideas grouped into paragraphs with each paragraph focusing on a different idea
- a variety of different sentence lengths
- a conclusion that sums up the topic

Here is my report:

In Autumn the mornings get icier
and car windows freeze. It gets windier
and sunny.

Nights and days are different to to summer
Because nights are longer and cooler
and days are shorter and cooler.

Later in Autumn days cooler and start
to rain,sometimes it buckets down
Sometime it's a thunder storm.

But a great time to go
mushrooming because the mushrooms
Have pretty pink insides because that need
water and warmth.
